Base Materials strengthens its industry-leading epoxy materials range with the launch of BE368, a new medium-temperature, everyday tooling board material designed for the manufacture of master models, patterns, jigs and fixtures.
Suitable for use across a range of industries including automotive, aerospace, and motorsport, the new BE368 epoxy tooling board boasts a good surface finish, a low coefficient of thermal expansion, excellent dimensional stability and an inert surface for wide-ranging compatibility at temperatures up to +165 °C.
Speaking about the launch of the new BE368 epoxy tooling board material, John Miller, Managing Director of Base Materials, says: “Both Brexit and the COVID-19 pandemic has seen the cost of raw materials rise over the past 18 months or so to unprecedented levels. Base Materials’ BE368 epoxy tooling board is manufactured in-house and available in a range of board thicknesses up to 150 millimetres, with compatible ancillary products, which includes adhesives, sealers and release agents.
